How to Keep Skin Healthy in Monsoons?

Thursday, September 30, 2010

There are many ways to keep skin healthy in monsoons but I want to share one of the best ways to keep your skin healthy in monsoons.

Sunscreens and moisturizers are the basic make-up things for the monsoons. Effect of UV rays on our skin is really very problematic.

About keeping our skin healthy in monsoons, an online news portal - timesofindia.indiatimes.com writes in the section of life style, “Cleansing your skin is extremely important to keep it fresh and healthy. To avoid fungal infections, you must use the right soap. Rinse your face regularly so that your skin continues to breathe easy. Remember to deeply cleanse your skin, to free the pores of clogged oil and dirt.

Monsoons can de-hydrate dry skin and over-hydrate oily complexions. Wipe your face dry after a wash. If you get wet in the rain, bathe in lukewarm water. To avoid the harsh effects of the sun and tanning, carry an umbrella and wear sunshades whenever you step out of the house.

To avoid fungal infections, avoid wearing sneakers and socks and go for open sandals and floaters instead. Dust talc to prevent sweat gathering in folds of skin. If you've waded through stagnant water, wash your feet with soap and hot water and then pat dry. Fungus enters the skin through wet pores and results in itchy, reddish, flaking patches on the body.

Avoid heavy makeup too during the monsoons, including heavy creams and oily foundations. Before applying make-up, rub some ice cubes on your face to delay sweating.

Diet plays a key role for your skin. Eat healthy and drink lots of water at regular intervals to maintain a glow. A good night's sleep will prevent dark circles under your eyes.

With a tradition of protecting and nurturing skin with utmost gentleness, Pears has, for generations now, dedicated itself to caring for skin. Its range understands the unique demands of each complexion and can cleanse and protect even the most delicate skin. So you can be sure that when it comes to skincare, you get nothing but the best.”

So, you should adopt the above suggestions to keep your skin healthy in monsoons. These are really very effective. You should see keep your skin younger chapter also.
